This "X" quilt, for George, was based on a more traditional square, but I tried to give it an update by using fun patterns and white for my solids. I tried to make it a little more masculine and sportier by adding the stacked stripes at the sides.
You'll notice these fabrics will repeat each other as I try to use all my scraps. I still have a box of teeny tiny little scraps, and it is my goal to one day use them to make something intricate and amazing, but I'm not quite there yet.
I went with a loud complementary print for the back, and quilted by stitching in the ditch.
