For jetsetter Sumeera's baby I wanted to create something that would speak to how much she travels and her island life living in Bermuda. I used star blocks for the front as they remind me of compasses. On the back, I used a map panel from Michael Miller's "Out to Sea" line. Sumeera chose not to find out the sex of her baby, so I threw together light blues and pinks thinking it could work well for either one.
I went back to my roots and did a stipple for the quilting.
So that baby Will will always have a memento from where he was born, I added a little cross-stitch star where Bermuda should be.
